Some lives follow a well-marked script; mine has been more like a wild improvisation—full of unexpected turns, heartbreak, laughter, and grace. Born and raised in Detroit, I began my real estate career in 1997 alongside my husband, my best friend and greatest supporter. We dove in headfirst, making every mistake possible, but always together and always learning.

In 2008, as the economic crash loomed, a sense of faith—and maybe a few whispers from relatives no longer with us—pushed us to rewrite our story. We left everything familiar, chose Wichita, Kansas on pure hope and research, and arrived with little more than determination and a new business plan crafted on a 19-hour drive. Knowing almost no one in Wichita, we leaned on each other and poured everything into building a new life.

Within five years, our perseverance paid off: my husband became part owner of a local brokerage while I earned my place among the top 2% of agents in our region, focusing on helping families find “home” in places once foreign to us. Today, my husband leads our team and we both mentor agents, teach, write classes, and continue to give back to our profession.

My passion for helping clients comes from a place of empathy and genuine joy. I grew up around real estate and hated it—the chaos, the uncertainty, the interruptions. For years, I thought my calling was floral design, until allergies forced me to give up the flower shop I loved. Heartbroken, I reluctantly turned to real estate—only to discover a new kind of fulfillment. The first time a client hugged me after closing, I realized that what I truly craved wasn’t just success, but connection. Ever since, I’ve built my business around earning those hugs, around making people feel seen, cared for, and celebrated.

My journey has been shaped by love and resilience. I married my soulmate the day after my 20th birthday. We were told we’d never have children, but in 2006, our miracle daughter was born—she now studies at Earlham College, making us proud every day. Life has challenged us, changed us, and given us more than we could have planned for.

Fun facts about me: I can’t tell a joke to save my life—I laugh too hard before the punchline. I am, at once, my own biggest critic and my strongest ally. And through every career shift, every risk, and every hug, I try to live with gratitude, humor, and heart. This is more than a job; it’s a journey I cherish. I am always searching for that next hug, that next family to welcome home.
